COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
Captain.tv exists to create experiences that bring communities closer together! With that goal in mind, we ask that all users act in a way that promotes a respectful and welcoming community. These community guidelines lay out expectations for how all members of our community should act in our games and across all related platforms.
In order to maintain a positive and thriving community, we reserve the right to suspend or ban anyone who violates these guidelines or acts in any way that we determine not to be in the spirit of these guidelines.
Please keep in mind that these guidelines apply in conjunction with our Terms of Service, and they are subject to change over time, to meet the changing needs of the community.
Kindness is the guiding principle of all of our Community Guidelines. Please ensure that you are kind and respectful in all of your interactions among the community. Do your best to promote positivity, whether you are interacting with streamers, other players, or anyone else in the community.
We have no tolerance for harassment. Any actions which seek to harass, bully, intimidate, threaten, insult, troll, grief, or disrespect a member, or members, of the community are strictly prohibited. In addition to this, anyone who prompts others to behave in this way will also be considered in violation of these guidelines.
In addition to harassment, we have no tolerance for hateful conduct. Hateful conduct includes any actions which serve to insult, discriminate against, or demean someone based on race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability. We strive to promote acceptance and tolerance in our community.
Do not take part in any in-game actions that constitute cheating, automating, or exploiting. This includes, but is not limited to, botting, hacking, using modified or third-party game clients, using any third party program or service to gain an unfair advantage, automating player actions, griefing other players, and abusing exploits or bugs. Should you discover an exploit or bug, we ask that you report it to our team immediately and cease using the exploit.
If you suspect someone in the community is violating these Guidelines, please send us a detailed report using the report function for the applicable game.
We will investigate and take appropriate action on any violations that occur on our platforms (our game, our Discord, our Twitch stream). We will not always be able to take action for events that happen outside of our platforms, but will investigate reports of that nature, and take action if we're able to verify the incident and depending on the severity of the incident.
Action taken for violations of these Guidelines will generally follow a progressive path and may result in restricted access to our game and community. Our team reserves the right to issue any disciplinary action we deem necessary to maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive community.
Actions taken may include:
- Warning
- Temporary Suspension from game & community
- Permanent ban from game & community
